Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) launched a new online service that allows patients or those on their behalf to submit requests online to obtain copies of their medical reports as well as pay fees without having to come to the hospital.

HMC's Chief Communications Officer Ali Abdullah Al Khater said that HMC is committed to providing the best services to patients and others through digital technology solutions, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030, aimed at modernizing methods and means of providing services and meeting the population's needs for health care services.

Al Khater explained that HMC is always striving to find digital solutions that would facilitate patients' access to the services they need and ensure safe and effective interactions.

The new online application enables patients or those on their behalf to submit requests to obtain copies of their medical reports and pay the specified fees through a secure online portal that has been configured in cooperation with Qatar National Bank. A copy of their medical report will be delivered through Qatar Post for a normal fee.

The new service is currently available only at Hamad General Hospital, and will soon be available in the rest of HMC's facilities.

Medical Director of Hamad General Hospital Dr. Yousef Al Maslamani said that in light of the preventive measures, services of providing medical reports to patients in attendance have been stopped, especially since medical reports are processed and handled by many individuals within specialized departments in the hospital.

He added that the online service is the ideal solution that combines ease of use, taking into account the preventive measures that HMC follows.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief of Quality Sector at HMC and Director of Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute Nasser Al Naimi said that the new service comes within the framework of HMC's commitment to improving healthcare services provided to patients and their experiences during their hospitalization journey in the institution's facilities.

He explained that the positive reactions received by the mail medicine delivery service encouraged the continuation of the search for smart solutions through the optimal use of digital data platforms, including online payment systems that would facilitate and speed up patient transactions.
