The results of His Highness (H.H.) the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani's visit to Pakistan and the strengthening of Qatari-Pakistani cooperation will be positively reflected in the stability of the region and the Asian region in general, stressing that Doha is constantly calling for dialogue to be the basis for resolving all differences and political issues, while Islamabad distanced itself from joining any alliances that threaten the security of the region.

H.H. the Amir's official visit to Pakistan, which lasted for two days, achieved great success. H.H. the Amir received a warm welcome in the visit by His Excellency (H.E) the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan. The visit was successful in various measures, as it contributed to the promotion of bilateral relations which reached advanced strategic stages, especially after the signing of a number of memorandums of understanding between the governments of the two countries.

Qatar's pivotal role in promoting efforts for peace and reconciliation in Afghanistan, a remarkable contribution to regional peace and in line with Pakistan's strategy of stability and security in a neighbouring country with which it has strong historical ties, was also highlighted.

Qatar is working to achieve sustainable foreign relations by emphasising its identity as a reliable partner that promotes the interests of parties without dictating or exploiting political economic partnerships or development efforts. Pakistan is one of the consumers of Qatari gas, and agrees with Qatar in many issues and views, which represents a strategic weight in Qatar's foreign relations in addition to the Islamic relations between the brotherly peoples of the two countries, and this visit underscored the depth of relations between the two countries and the common desire to develop them

H.H. the Amir's visit to Pakistan will be a new link in the series of efforts of the wise leadership for the good and welfare of the citizens, and to consolidate international peace and security. Consequently, H.H. the Amir's visit to Pakistan will open new horizons of cooperation relations between the two countries and increase the solid and deep-rooted relations.

At the end of the visit, H.H. the Amir held a meeting with H.E. President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi, during which they discussed bilateral relations and means of enhancing them, especially in the fields of economy, investment and energy, the paper said.

The paper pointed out that as an expression of the depth of the historical relations between Qatar and Pakistan, the Pakistani President granted 'Nishan-e-Pakistan', Pakistan's highest civil award, to H.H. the Amir, which is an indication of the depth of friendship between the leadership in both countries and the strength of the partnership relations and comprehensive strategy between Qatar and Pakistan.

The visit and the strengthening of the Qatari-Pakistani cooperation will be positively reflected on the stability of the region and the Asian surrounding in general, given the consensus of the two countries on regional and global issues, as Doha always calls for dialogue as the basis for resolving all political differences and issues, while Islamabad avoids joining any alliances that threaten the security of the region.
