And H.H. the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani issued Wednesday Amiri decision No. 61 for 2023, organizing the General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority. The decision is effective starting from its date of issue, and is to be published in the official gazette.

H.H. the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, also issued on 16 August 2023 the Amiri decision No. 62 of 2023 appointing Ahmed Ali Al Hammadi as Director General of the General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority.

The decision is effective starting from the date of its issuance and is to be published in the official gazette.

Qatar Government Excellence Award

H.H. the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani issued on 16 August 2023 Amiri decision No. 63 of 2023 establishing the Qatar Government Excellence Award.

The decision stipulated that the award shall be established with the aim of elevating the quality of government performance and encouraging government agencies and employees to compete in applying the highest standards of quality, development and excellence in performance by honouring the outstanding accomplishments and efforts of all groups that contribute to the realization of the Qatar National Vision.

The decision also stipulated that a committee is to be established in the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau under the name of "Qatar Government Excellence Award Committee of Trustees" to manage the award's affairs to achieve its goals in terms of setting the necessary standards for granting the award, determining its categories and classes, and setting up its procedures.
