What?

You may want to get some real-life work experience, add projects to your portfolio and/or fulfil school or university credit. In all cases, this graphic design internship is unpaid, but the reward is that your work will be published for the entire population of Qatar (and parts of the wider world) to see. You will learn some tricks of the trade and new skills that will help you advance your design career, aaaaand if you do a great job, you will get a certificate and a kick-ass recommendation letter.

Who?

We are looking for candidates who are super serious about this opportunity and will be committed for the duration of the internship. Also you must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Your age must be between 18 and 22 years old
  • You must be curious about the world and hungry to learn
  • You must be passionate about Art and Design

How?

It's simple, create a user account on this website (If you haven't already) and log in once your e-mail has been verified. Submit a Story or a News Article with the title: Vote for (your name). Your homework:

  • Draw your favorite animal by hand (not on computer). Do not spend more than 15 minutes on this. Seriously, time it! Then scan it or phone capture it, and upload the image into the article.
  • State four reasons as to why this is your favorite animal (typing one line for each reason would be enough)
  • Re-draw or trace the sketch of your favorite animal, but this time in Illustrator. Image size must be 500 x 500 pixels at 72 dpi. Save the image as a JPEG or PNG and embed it into the article.
  • Upload up to 5 (maximum) extra image of your best design work. Or include a link to your online portfolio if you have one.
