Travel plans? If you stopover in Doha while flying Qatar Airways, you can get a free one night stay at one of Qatar’s prestigious hotels.
This announcement, which can be viewed on Qatar Airways’ Discover Qatar website, comes in tandem with Qatar Tourism Authority’s (QTA) introduction of the free 96-hour transit visa, marking the QTA’s effort to boost incoming visitors to Qatar.
The new visa, called the ‘Qatar Transit Visa’, is available to passengers traveling on Qatar Airways and transiting through Hamad International Airport for a minimum of 5 hours. A minimum transiting time of 12 hours is required for travelers to be eligible for this offer.

According to DohaNews, passengers can avail of the offer at a number of participating hotels, which include The Four Seasons, Marriott Marquis, Radisson Blu and Oryx Rotana. If travelers would like to avail a second night’s stay it would cost them just $50.
The Discover Qatar website states that the offer must be booked by August 31, 2017. However travel and hotel stay offers can be booked till September 30, 2017, excluding both Eid holidays. Tickets must be booked directly on qatarairways.com under the ‘multi-city ticket booking’ option. Following this step, passengers can apply for their free transit visa and book the ‘free hotel stay’ offer.
