In a Tweet, Ooredoo Qatar has said that former Deputy Group CEO and CEO of Ooredoo Qatar Waleed Mohammed Al-Sayed has passed away.

In a statement, Ooredoo Qatar said "It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of Waleed Mohammed Al-Sayed, former Deputy Group CEO and CEO of Ooredoo Qatar. We pray to Allah to help us and his bereaved family to bear this great loss."
In 2011, Waleed was appointed as Chief Operating Officer of Ooredoo Qatar. Waleed Al-Sayed was appointed as Deputy CEO - Ooredoo Group and CEO - Ooredoo Qatar in November 2015. He was also the Chairman of the Qatar Handball Team and a member of Ooredoo’s Football team.
