Michelle Butiu, a Filipina expat in Qatar, set the record for the fastest crossing of Qatar on foot (female) on 6 April 2023. She achieved this feat by crossing Qatar from Al Ruwais to Abu Samra in 1 day, 6 hours, 23 minutes, and 42 seconds.
Michelle Butiu beat the previous record of Sufiya Sufi Runner by 7 minutes.
