The unveiling of an exciting show on the New Doha International Airport (NDIA) will be held at the Doha Exhibition Centre tomorrow. The exhibition will include large renderings of the airport facilities and the interior and exterior of the passenger terminal, large scale models of the passenger terminal, automated people mover, aircraft maintenance hanger and the aircraft control tower, as well as a scale model of the entire airport and computer graphics displaying the interior of the passenger terminal building. Large scale photographs of progress of construction work will also be displayed. When it opens, the New Doha International Airport will be one of the most advanced airport facilities in the world. It will have the capacity to handle 24 million passengers and 1.3 million tonnes of cargo annually, and will be able to handle 100 aircraft movements per hour on its two runways. One of the first airports to be designed with the new Airbus A-380 in mind, it will be the new home base for the Qatar Airways fleet when it replaces the existing Doha International Airport. http://thepeninsulaqatar.com/Display_news.asp?section=Local_News&subsection=Qatar+News&month=March2009&file=Local_News2009032331340.xml New Doha Airport Pictures
