People are flocking to Katara - the Cultural Village in large numbers, despite the heat and humidity, to participate in the Eid Al Fitr celebrations being hosted there. And the breathtaking fireworks and special kids' shows on offer have certainly left them enthralled.

As part of the celebrations, Katara is presenting a set of programmes titled 'A Child’s Dream', with shows being held until Saturday in Arabic and English. One of the shows involved a dance routine with glow sticks, featuring both Western and Arabic music. Another show consisted of an impressive and wide variety of stunts on a BMX bike, while the last show was a remarkable display of gymnastics and dancing.

Another major attraction for families, particularly children, are the Eid gifts that are being distributed by Katara personnel after the end of each show. The kids looked absolutely delighted with the goodies.

The showstopper appears a little after 10pm, when the night sky is lit up by a stunning fireworks display along the Katara beach, leaving everyone mesmerised.

If you decide to spend the rest of your Eid evenings at Katara do make sure to wear something light and cool. Knowing how the weather is, authorities at Katara are generously offering free water to ensure that you stay cool. If you’re worried about food, have no fear Katara is filled with some great eateries in which you can dine in or enjoy outdoor snacks with your family and friends.

The events will last till Saturday from 6:45pm to 10:30pm. Make sure you don't miss this out!

Eid Mubarak everyone!
