The road leading to the arrivals terminal of the Doha International Airport has been witnessing heavy traffic over the past few days, with a surge in the number of people returning after eid holidays. As a number of people came to receive their friends and relatives, long queues of vehicles were seen outside the arrivals terminal and the rush is expected to increase in the weeks to come. Schools will reopen by second week of next month. The immigration section at the airport is also witnessing huge rush. Passengers are complaining of delay in receiving their baggage. The arrivals terminal is also experiencing a parking shortage due to the partial closure of the parking area. Airport might achieve 19 per cent growth in passenger traffic by this year-end, reaching 25 million against 21.5 million last year, according to the study on airlines and passenger traffic in the Middle East in 2013.
