Cabinet approves slew of draft decrees

The Cabinet yesterday met under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani and approved a slew of draft decrees which are as follow: 1. The Convention on the exploration and production sharing for the offshore exploratory region between Qatar and China National Offshore Oil Corporation(CNOOC) on behalf of China National Petroleum Company for Middle East. 2. Permitting the Ministry of Economy and Finance to provide guarantees on planes purchase loans to the Qatar Company for Planes Rental (Qatari Shareholding Company). 3. Forming a committee to study obstacles facing the implementation of governmental projects. 4. Marketing policy on the locally produced vegetables and fruits and related implementation mechanism conducted by Hassad Food Company as well as evaluating this policy within one year. 5. A proposal by the Economy and Finance Ministry on the subscription in the shares of the capital of the Islamic institution for private sector development, which emerged from the Islamic Development Bank group. 6. Cultural cooperation in libraries’ affairs between Qatar and Egypt. 7. Memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the judicial cooperation between Qatar’s Supreme Judiciary Council and the Supreme Court of Singapore. The cabinet reviewed a memorandum by the Labour Ministry on the results of its study for the Interior Ministry’s views regarding a cabinet draft decision implementing some labour provisions on agriculture and grazing labourers and took the appropriate decision on it. The cabinet took the needed procedures to ratify the additional protocols of the manpower agreements between Qatar, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal. QNA
