Fire broke out in a busy Muntazah suburb yesteray afternoon, causing panic among the residents and shopkeepers of the area. However, there was no report of anyone suffering burn injuries.There were conflicting reports as to how the fire broke out. While some people said a bus used for ferrying workers came in contact with a hoarding outside a building complex under construction, others said fire erupted inside the bus. The bus was completely destroyed in the fire. The timely arrival of the Civil Defence helped prevent flames from spreading to the building under construction, sources said. In another incident in Najma, a minor fire broke out in an old building in Al Qarawayen locality, causing damage to the first floor.
