Banks will have official Eid Al Fitr holidays for five days beginning tomorrow, but from the second day of Eid some of their branches will be open during their normal weekday working hours. In the evenings, some banks’ branches in shopping centres will be open from 5pm to 9pm on the second and third days of Eid. On the first day of Eid all banks and their branches will be closed. The banks have filled up their ATM networks with cash — all of them have put new and crisp currency bills of various denominations on the occasion of Eid. MoI departments to remain open during Eid Al Fitr DOHA: The Immigration Department and various service centres of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) will function during the Eid Al Fitr holidays. The General Directorate of Border Passports and Expatriate Affairs (Immigration Department), Nationality and Travel Documents Department, Traffic Department, Criminal Evidences and Information Department and the Ministry's services centres will work from 8am to 12 noon on all days from August 6 to August 15. Traffic Investigation sections will be working 24 hours during the holidays, said a statement issued by the ministry yesterday. http://thepeninsulaqatar.com/qatar/248011-banks-to-close-for-eid-holidays-from-tomorrow.html
