The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announced on 4 October 2023 that they have achieved a Guinness World Records™ title for Longest Motorsport Pitlane Building within the Lusail International Circuit. The length of the building is 402.1 metres long.
The pit lane building makes its mark as the longest for any racetrack. The achievement was awarded based on an assessment of the building and ensuring compliance with all criteria to achieve the Guinness World Records™ title.
The pit lane building at Lusail International Circuit has 50 racing car garages and also has a race control tower, a paddock area and even five-star VIP areas.
Lusail International Circuit will be the venue for the soon-to-begin Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix, which will take place from 6-8 October 2023 and the record has been set just ahead of that.
