Transformative music, drama and dance summer programme for young people aged 10 – 18 years old

Doha, 15 March 2016 – The Juilliard School, a world leader in performing arts education, and Nord Anglia Education, the world’s leading premium schools organisation, are pleased to announce that applications are open for Summer Performing Arts with Juilliard – a new summer programme from 9– 22 July 2016 for young people aged 10 – 18 years old.

Hosted at the picturesque College du Leman campus in Switzerland, this is a unique opportunity for young musicians, actors and dancers to explore the performing arts at the highest level. Students will follow a transformative programme designed by the world renowned Juilliard School, whose alumni include actor Kevin Spacey, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, composer John Williams and choreographer Lar Lubovitch.

The programme will challenge students artistically, technically and creatively in their chosen discipline of music (instrumental and vocal), drama or dance. The daily schedule includes one-to-one lessons, rehearsals, coaching and masterclasses led by Juilliard-affiliated artists and culminates in a memorable performance where students will celebrate everything they have learnt during the two week experience. Students will also have the opportunity to creatively collaborate across the performing arts and learn about life as an artist.

The inclusive programme has been designed to inspire and stretch every child’s artistic horizons, creating life-changing experiences. Children of all abilities are welcome, with activities tailored for beginners to those with more advanced performing arts backgrounds.

In addition to the performing arts programme, students also have the opportunity to participate in variety of fun activities and excursions in the local area, including a visit to the Montreux Jazz festival and an array of outdoor activities exposing them to the natural landscape of Switzerland and Swiss culture.

Day and boarding options are available, starting from CHF 4050 for the day programme. For more information and to apply, please visit www.naejuilliard.school/summer-arts
