According to the Qatar Meteorology Department (Qatar Weather), the Al Wasmi season will begin on 16 October 2021 and will last for 52 days. This season is characterised by the movement of clouds from the West to the East, and the rain at the beginning of the Al Wasmi season is considered to herald a good season of rain.
This period is called Al Wasmi because of its compatibility with the rains that grow various plants, such as the truffle plant and the Geranium (Al-Yarwa). The temperatures drop in Doha during this period with the weather being warm during the day and mild at night and tends to get cold at times, especially with the blowing of dry Northwesterly wind.
