The Ministry of Interior (MOI) on 2 September 2023 announced that regarding the reports circulating on social media platforms about thefts of private properties in the Umm Salal and Al Kheesa areas, the Criminal Investigation Department successfully arrested 3 individuals on 1 September 2023, for their involvement in theft crimes in these areas.

The announcement also said that they admitted to committing several theft crimes and have been referred, along with the items seized, to the relevant prosecution authorities to continue the necessary legal procedures in this regard.
