The Peninsula Newspaper reported on 23 April 2023 that the Ambulance Service at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has made significant arrangements to deal with any potential arrangements during the Eid Al Fitr 2023 holidays.
The arrangements include a total of 115 ambulances, along with critical care paramedics, bicycles, and golf carts, which are kept on standby across the country.
As per Assistant Executive Director of the Ambulance Service, Ali Darwish, more ambulances have been deployed at places that are expected to be busier during the Eid holidays, such as beaches in Sealine, Gahariya, Al Wakra, Semaisima, and the Corniche.
Additionally, bicycles and golf carts have been deployed in places like Souq Waqif, Aspire Zone, and Katara.
Increased ambulance services have also been set up at the Hamad International Airport and Abu Samra border due to the increased travel during the holidays, along with three life flights to transport critical cases.
