The Peninsula Newspaper reported on 28 September 2023 that the famed Qatari singer Fahad Al Kubaisi received the award for Best Arab Artist at the 14th Arab Satellite Festival in Cairo.
He was awarded for the song 'Dreamers' which was performed at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 alongside BTS member Jungkook.
The Arab Satellite Festival award recipients are chosen based on votes, and at the 14th edition, many other Arab artists were awarded, such as Yousra, an Egyptian actress who received the Golden Award and actress Karess Bashar received the award for the best Arab actress. The Best Cinema Actor award was honoured to Egyptian actor Ahmed Dawood alongside many other awards.
