Ooredoo’s Alrabaa brought #DaysOfJoy to children during this year’s Garangao, by distributing special goody bags and inviting the community to join in with the rich cultural heritage that comes with the day.
The Alrabaa provided nuts and sweets to the children and their families throughout the evening, and encouraged everyone at Souq Waqif to sing the traditional Garangao song together.
Fatima Sultan Al Kuwari, Director Community and Public Relations, said, “The Alrabaa have really enabled us to connect to the community during Garangao. Children and adults love the group and by spreading joy and laughter we hope to encourage everyone to join with their communities this Ramadan.”
In addition to the Garangao celebrations at Souq Waqif, the Alrabaa have been carrying out random acts of kindness across the city. As part of its campaign for the Holy Month, Ooredoo has also launched a dedicated Alrabaa website - http://alrabaa.ooredoo.qa, where people can track the locations and activities of the group.
The Alrabaa, a group of friends who embody the traditions of Qatar, have been popping up across Doha bringing kindness and joy with their box full of surprises.
Customers can keep up to date with Ooredoo’s Ramadan campaign via the Ooredoo website at www.ooredoo.qa, Ooredoo’s Facebook, Instagram or Twitter page, or follow the hashtag #DaysOfJoy.
