The Balloon Parade will take place on 5 May 2022 from 9:30 pm - 10:30 pm at Corniche.

Qatar’s first Eid festival is here! Hosted by Qatar Tourism, this festival will run from May 3 until May 5 filled with non-stop excitement and entertainment at the Corniche.

During these days, the Corniche streets will be closed to make way for the upcoming fun nights of the Eid Festival. The best way to get to the festival is via the nearest "Park & Ride" location to you and head on to the "Al Bidda" and "Corniche" metro stations!

Giant balloon parade

Packed with high-energy entertainment, the giant balloon parade will be an event highlight that you shouldn't miss! As per Qatar Tourism, the parade will feature giant classic cartoon character balloons “alongside symbols of Qatar’s ecology and cultural diversity (think bulging whale sharks and beautiful traditional dhow boats)!" The parade will be from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm during the whole 3-day event!

Every night until the end of the Eid Festival, a fireworks display will be held for everyone to see and marvel at. The fireworks display will start at 9 pm, a perfect way to end the festivities!

A festival won’t be complete without a wide array of carnival games that you can enjoy with friends and family. Win prizes by participating in some of the carnival games available at the festival grounds. The fun games will be open from 4:30 pm to 11 pm.

For the 3-day Eid Festival, some of the top artists of the region will be performing in Qatar. Sing along to your favourite songs and get to see your favourite artists perform! Mahmoud Al Turki, an Iraqi artist, singer, and composer will perform on May 3 and grace the audience with some of his hit singles. On May 4, Nasser Alkubaisi Qatari artist will be on stage to show us his amazing talents. And finally, on May 5, Sultan Khalifa, a popular Saudi Arabian artist, singer, and composer will bring to Corniche his incredible singing!

As you enjoy the activities and participate in the festivities, it would be natural for you to get hungry. That’s why, for the first Eid Festival, expect to see some of your favourite food stalls at the Corniche to satisfy your appetite!

How to get to the festival?

  • Doha Metro: Corniche, DECC, Westbay, Souq Waqif, National Museum and Al Bidda metro stations will directly lead you to the festival.
  • Park and Ride: 7 new facilities for “Park and Ride” will be available near the metro stations such as the Education City, Al-Qassar, and Al-Wakra.
