Ooredoo has announced today that its award winning Mobile Money service will give 20 international minutes free with all international transfers to selected African countries until July 25 2015.
The offer, which has been designed to further reward Ooredoo Mobile Money customers, will give users 20 international free minutes when they use the service to send money to Cameroon, Ghana, Uganda, Nigeria and Kenya.
This excellent offer will run from 26 April to 25 July 2015 and for Hala customers, the 20 international minutes will be credited to their Hala Balance instantly after the transaction. Shahry customers will have the credit added to their monthly allowance.
The free international credit is valid for seven days and bonus minutes can be used to make calls anywhere in the world.
Customers can register for Mobile Money with a valid Qatar ID at any Ooredoo Shop, by dialling *140# or by simply downloading the free “Ooredoo Money” App on their mobile and following the on-screen instructions.
Once registered, customers can send money to any of the 200 countries for collection at any of 347,000 local MoneyGram agents, securely and reliably 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Mobile Money is available for use on any model of mobile phone and can be used to Top-Up Hala accounts (with a 10% extra recharge), pay Ooredoo bills, send money locally to another mobile or QNB account, or transfer money overseas.
Users can deposit money into their mobile wallet using any of over 200 Ooredoo Self-Service Machines available throughout Qatar. Deposits can also be made through Ooredoo Shops or direct transfer from any QNB Bank account through QNB Mobile Payment service.
The Ooredoo Money App is also available now via the Google Play and iTunes Store and gives Ooredoo Mobile Money users a dedicated app where they can check their finance, transfer money around the world instantly through MoneyGram, and complete daily Ooredoo tasks. Existing Ooredoo Mobile Money users can use their mobile number and 6-digit mPIN to sign into the free app.
