The ST. Regis Doha welcomes new Executive Chef

The ST. Regis Doha, The Finest Address in Qatar, has recently appointed Chef Jean–Luc Morcellet, as their new Executive Chef who will be serving their award-winning restaurants. Moreover, the distinguished hotel has also announced their scheduled venue re-openings and the kick off of their entertainment season at the end of September and during EID.

Chef Morcellet, of French origins, brings more than 20 years of international experience to his role, having worked in reputable hotel chains in France, U.A.E., U.K., U.S.A and Zimbabwe. Chef Morcellet has lead culinary teams and has catered to a number of important personalities, including the late South African President, Nelson Mandela. Chef Morcellet is set to bring his applied experience and creativity to the ST. Regis Doha, which will add to the excellence of the dishes served and the quality of service.

In his role as Executive Chef at The St. Regis Doha, Morcellet will oversee all culinary aspects of the hotel’s various gastronomic offerings which include: Astor Grill, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Oyster Bay, Sarab Lounge, Al Sultan Brahim, Vine, banquets and external outside catering. Morcellet will also be supporting the Chefs at Gordon Ramsay Mediterranean and Opal by Gordon Ramsay.

On this occasion, Mr. Tareq Derbas, General Manager of The ST. Regis Doha commented, “We are very pleased that Chef Morcellet has joined the ST. Astor Grill restaurant has re-opened earlier in September to its esteemed diners, with a Truffle themed month extending from the 1st of October to the 31st of October. Vine restaurant has brought back BBQ Evening Brunch and it will be commencing every Thursday.

The ST. Regis Doha is upon a new era of entertainment, with an exceptional line up of events planned for the new season. On the 24th of September the following venues are set to open: The Dinner Show at Jazz at Lincoln Center Doha, Vintage Lounge, Oyster Bay Live and The Roof Top.

The Dinner Show at Jazz at Lincoln Center Doha is set to re-open with scheduled performances by international jazz artists accompanied by a New Orleans inspired menu in an intimate, urban setting.

Vintage Lounge has re-opened its doors to its valued guests. It is bringing the sensational vocalist Jessica Gibson who will perform soulful pop, jazz and blue numbers in the sophisticated space, which is known to be the true ST. Regis experience.

Reggae Nights will kick off at Oyster Bay Live with live performances by famous bands: The Buggy Nakhente and Fully Loaded. The bands will perform nifty R&B, funk and classic reggae numbers on the beach which overlooks the Doha Skyline.

House Boutique evenings will be running every Wednesday on the sands of Oyster Bay Live, where Resident DJ DeLoona will be playing the latest deep house music tunes, giving an energizing ambience.

The Roof Top will be re-opening with two anticipated events. Sway Ladies Night will be happening every Wednesday evening with new resident DJ Disco Diva and the popular #Shout non-stop music sessions will be coming back on 09 October.

Jazz at Lincoln Center Doha is bringing back Jazz in the Park live performances on a monthly basis, starting from 07 October and 11 November at the Museum of Islamic Art Park.
