Cityscape Qatar 2021 kicks off at DECC

Under the patronage of H.E. Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani, H.E. Minister of Commerce and Industry and Acting Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari inaugurated the 9th edition of Cityscape Qatar at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre on Sunday.

Runs from October 17 to 19, Cityscape Qatar 2021 will unveil the country's prominent real estate projects from top Qatari developers.

Commenting on the occasion, H.E. Minister of Commerce and Industry and Acting Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari stressed the importance of Cityscape Qatar 2021 as it represents an important platform to showcase the development of the real estate sector in the country, in light of the expected positive indicators for the growth of the national economy and the recovery of real estate markets during the coming period.

H.E. Minister Al Kuwari noted that the State's interest in Cityscape exhibition reflects its belief in the pivotal role of the real estate sector in supporting the diversity and competitiveness of the national economy, looking forward to the event to achieve tangible results that consolidate Qatar's position as an ideal destination for real estate investment in the region.

Cityscape Qatar 2021 and the accompanying conference will highlight the most important real estate development projects in the country presented by leading Qatari real estate companies, with the participation of the most prominent real estate development companies and government agencies. Visitors can have the opportunity to attend diverse discussions with Qatari government ministers and global consultants.

The agenda of the accompanying conference includes talks on the rise of digitalization from top consultants, whilst post-pandemic workspace trends will be of key focus during panel discussions.

Changes in trends remained a key focus for companies at the show, with over 30 local and regional exhibitors taking part over the next three days. Developers have taken note of changing demands from buyers both local and international, with new projects offering investors access to luxury developments across a range of price points.

Following the inauguration, H.E. Minister of Commerce and Industry and Acting Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari toured the exhibition where he was briefed on the various participating departments and pavilions, and the latest developments, services and investment opportunities provided by participating companies and entities. H.E. the Minister also attended the signing of a contract between Qatar Chamber and Qatari Diar for purchasing a new headquarter for the Chamber in the Commercial Boulevard in Lusail City. The agreement was signed by H.E. Chairman of Qatar Chamber Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Thani and CEO of Qatari Diar Eng. Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah.

Cityscape Qatar aims at highlighting the most prominent real estate projects in the country, as well as providing a platform for communication between home buyers, investors and specialists in the field of design and construction in the real estate sector. The exhibition is being held amidst COVID-19 precautionary measures to ensure a safe and distinguished experience for all participants.
