Build Your House Exhibition to be held from 28 -30 March 2022

Build Your House (BYH) Exhibition 2022, the must-attend homebuilding event for Qataris to seek consultants, contractors, and suppliers, will be held under the patronage of Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H.E. Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdul Aziz al-Thani. The three-day event (28– 30 March) will be inaugurated by the Minister of Commerce and Industry, H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Abdullah Al Thani at Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC).

Created in Qatar to stimulate and aid the development of Qatar’s housebuilding industry, BYH Exhibition has gained significant traction since its launch in 2020. Further to receiving solid government backing, BYH 2022 is also pleased to announce continued support from Qatar’s business community. This year’s sponsors include key players within the construction industry.

Speaking about BYH 2022, Mr. Rawad Sleem, Co-Founder and General Manager of NeXTfairs or Exhibitions and Conferences, said:

“This edition of Build Your House Exhibition is a very special show, held in a significant year for Qatar. As the country prepares to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, we are privileged to witness the preparation and growth of this global event and benefit from the direct investment that this major sporting event brings.”
He added, “To welcome such an occasion, we have prepared a few featured programs to enrich the BYH exhibition and visitor experience. Attendees will be able to source consultants, contractors, and suppliers to build or renovate their houses and learn more about global industry trends and government regulations related to housing in Qatar. In addition, they will gain valuable insight enabling them to understand the complete construction cycle and planning processes.”

A catalyst for collaboration, BYH Exhibition connects Qatari homebuilders with the contractors to bring their dream homes to life. Attendees can look forward to BYH Exhibition’s Knowledge Sharing Conference and Future and Smart Living Conference, which promises to share inspiration, innovation, and practical guidance. Conference partner, the American Institute of Architects (AIA), has announced their participation in this growing educational platform, inviting attendees to join six different sessions.

AIA’s program of speakers includes two talks per event day, from various institutions and companies, such as Qatar University, VCUarts, Bluu Design, We Do Design, Baroque, and Casa Bella.

BYH Exhibition is considered a major platform in residential design, construction, and other related sectors in Qatar. It is a crucial link between consultants, contractors, suppliers, smart solutions, general services companies, and Qatari citizens who wish to build or modernize their homes. Guests can look forward to visiting over 150 exhibitors, tapping into insight shared by local Ministries and government entities, discovering global design, and smart technology trends.

BYH Exhibition also nurtures the development of local interior design talent. The annual Junior Designer Competition, held in collaboration with VCUarts Qatar, enables students to hone their interior design skills and display their work at a dedicated stand within BYH Exhibition.

To attend BYH Exhibition, visitors will have to pre-register via the visitor portal, which is now open. Digital registration enables the event organizers to monitor the capacity of the exhibition halls and gives visitors all the information they need to know before attending BYH Exhibition 2022.

BYH Exhibition will be held from 28 -30 March 2022, at Halls 8 & 9 at Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC). Daily opening times are: 10 am – 10 pm.
