We posted on 11 November that the 9th Traditional Dhow Festival will kick off from November 26, however, the Cultural Village Foundation - Katara recently posted on their twitter that the festival will begin from 3 December and will run until 16 December.

The Cultural Village Foundation - Katara to organize the 9th Traditional Dhow Festival from 26-30 November. Inspired by Qatar's rich maritime heritage, the festival will host exciting activities and tournaments at Katara beach from 9 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 10 pm
On a span of five days, you will thrive to experience a distinctive ambiance that will showcase the authentic maritime traditions inspired by Qatar's past ancestors. You can also learn there how to make traditional dhows without using new technology.
Over the years, this fascinating festival has become locally and internationally popular and respected due to the increasing number of countries which are participating. It has become a bridge between peoples and cultures that aims to engage the younger generation with the customs and traditions of their fathers and forefathers.
