According to a report by The Peninsula, a giant mural measuring 11 metres high and 27 metres long showcasing the iconic moment of H.H. the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani draping Lionel Messi with a bisht during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 winners' ceremony was unveiled in the Argentine Neighbourhood in Al Wakra.

This mural is the largest professional mural of its kind in the world and was created by acclaimed Argentinian street artist Martín Ron.

“We painted all day from 8am to 6pm. The image behind the mural is considered among the most remembered photos of the 21st century - with Amir and Messi, it’s about two cultures in one photo in one of the best events,” Martín Ron shares with The Peninsula.
