French veil ban taken up at Doha Debates today
The Doha Debates will launch its seventh series today with a discussion on the French government’s controversial ban on the face veil. The debate, which takes place at Qatar Foundation Headquarters at 7.30pm, will argue the motion that “This House believes France is right to ban the face veil”.

Nokia's first ever double SIM phone has been launched in Qatar by Consolidated Gulf Co, CGC. Nokia C1 comes with a standby battery time of up to six weeks, the longest ever for a Nokia phone, plus room for 500 phonebook entries and 250 text messages onboard. Sporting a 1.8-inch full colour screen, Nokia C1 is 15mm thin and weights only 73 gram. It also has FM radio, 3.5mm headset jack, call divert functionality, flashlight and pre-installed games, meaning Nokia C1 is as much about entertainment
