The Organizing Committee of the Souq Waqif Equestrian Festival announces, for horse owners and horse enthusiasts, registration is open for those wishing to participate from inside and outside the State of Qatar in:

January 13 to 15, 2024 - 4 pm: Opening the entry to the 5th Souq Waqif International Arabian Horse Show (A)

Conditions of Entry:

• Open to horses registered in any WAHO (World of Arabian Horse Organization) recognized Studbook by the closing date of entries.
• Studbook registration of ownership must be at least 6 months before the date of the show.

Entry Restrictions:

• A horse owner may withdraw their horse from the Show up to ten (10) days before the Show. Should a horse be withdrawn within less than ten (10) days before the Show, the relevant owner shall be subject to a fine of (QAR 3,000) unless a veterinary certificate, by a veterinary doctor, stating a medical excuse, is provided.

January 17 to 19, 2024 - 4 pm: Opening the entry to the 13th Qatar International Arabian Peninsula Horse Show 2024

Conditions of Entry:

• Straight Egyptians is open for purebred Arabian horses according to the definition of the Pyramid Society and is governed by the Rules and Regulations of the European Conference of Arab Horse Organizations - Blue Book 2023 except for the judging system in the classes. Participants submit themselves to the judges’ decisions that are limited to that particular show event and based on the classification system fixed in the entry form.
• Definition of a ‘Straight Egyptian Arabian Horse’ according to the Pyramid Society: A Straight Egyptian Arabian horse is a horse that is registered or eligible for registration by a registry approved by the Word Arabian Horse Organization (WAHO) and traces in every line of its pedigree to horses listed in The Pyramid Society Studbook for Straight Egyptian Arabian Horses Worldwide 2016, The Pyramid Society, Lexington, Kentucky, USA.
• Studbook registration of ownership must be at least 6 months before the date of the show.

Entry Restrictions:

• Title Show or A Show Champion Gold and Silver medal winners are not allowed to take part in a Specific Origin show for the rest of that calendar year and the two calendar years following, unless the horse has passed from a yearling to junior, from junior to a senior category.
• Anybody entering an overqualified horse will be liable to a fine of €600 and the horse will be disqualified.
• A horse owner may withdraw their horse from the Show up to ten (10) days before the Show. Should a horse be withdrawn within less than ten (10) days before the Show, the relevant owner shall be subject to a fine of (QAR 3,000) unless a veterinary certificate, by a veterinary doctor, stating a medical excuse, is provided.
