The mission of the Katara International Arabian Horse Festival (KIAHF) is to support Qatar’s rich equestrian heritage and promote it worldwide. It is organized by the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara), Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club, and Qatar Equestrian Federation to promote the uniqueness of Purebred Arabian horses at the various local, regional, and international platforms by hosting a Title Show of magnificent Arabians. The festival will include several related equestrian events and activities.
The various activities associated with KIAHF include:
KIAHF will offer participants and visitors a delightful experience by showcasing the Qatari spirit and tradition and presenting them with a memorable fusion of the past, present, and future. It also seeks to strengthen the bond between purebred Arabians and the local community. Reflecting the tradition and spirit of Katara, KIAHF will offer a taste of something exceptional, exquisite, varied, and interesting!

To provide horse owners, breeders, and equine enthusiasts the opportunity to purchase superior purebred Arabian horses, as the Arabians on auction are among the finest, having previously won regional or international championships. The aim is to encourage and enable participation in the Qatar International Arabian Horse Championships.
The auction supports owners seeking to trade their horses while enabling buyers to upgrade their stables and farms with superior show horses that can compete in championships. It also encourages breeders to follow the highest standards in breeding.
The goals promote Qatar’s endeavor to preserve and perpetuate the Arabian breed.

After the closing of the horse registration, no registration fee will be refunded in case of withdrawal, unless the owner provides a medical certificate. A penalty of 45, 000 QAR (Forty-five thousand Qatari Riyals) will be imposed on any owner who withdraws his/her horse 7 days before the show without a valid medical reason. All medical certificates should be transmitted within 24 hours from the incident that occurred on the official www.kiahf.qa website or to the Disciplinary Committee of the show.

GLOBAL CHAMPIONS ARABIANS TOUR stems from Global Champions’ unique platform to create a new and exclusive Arabian Horse Championship, taking place in state-of-the-art venues in iconic locations, and offering the highest prize money ever in the sport.
Horses are eligible to participate in all GCAT Events. Participants may register an unlimited number of owned horses for each GCAT Event. However, the number of leased horses is limited to one per participant per season.
The GCAT overall classification is determined by the points earned by each horse and handler across all GCAT Events held during the season.
