Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) is gearing up for National Sports Day (NSD) that will see thousands of Doha residents descend on its unique sporting facilities and venues. Following the remarkable success of the last two NSD celebrations, AZF is offering families a whole day of fun with a variety of sporting and entertainment activities to suit all family members, both young and old.

Registration is now open for residents to take part in a 4 kilometer fun run around Aspire’s facilities. ‘Free Run’, one of many Aspire races, managed to attract huge numbers last year, with more than 2,000 people joining the run as well as other events including the ‘5,000 Step Journey’ and the ‘Aspire Active Family Camp’.

Companies that will join in AZF’s NSD celebrations include RasGas, Qatar TV, Ministry of Energy and Industry, General Retirement and Social Security, Qatar Cycling Federation, Qatar Development Bank, HMC Organs Donation Center, Civil Defense, Qatar Enterprise, ictQATAR, National Human Right Committee, and Carrefour.

Ladies Zumba
The Zumba programme fuses Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness programme that will blow you away! Rhythms include Merengue, Salsa, Cumbia and Reggaeton.

Family Boot camp:
Fitness fun for entire family! Structured workouts consist of constantly varied, functional movements that deliver a fitness regime that is broad, inclusive and scalable for any participant at any level.
Time: 9 am – 12 pm
Location: Aspire Active Entrance

Aspire football tournament 5v5
Types of Football tournament: Competition tournament for the clubs generation of 2006 and 2007; and social tournament for the fathers of those players.
Time: 9 am – 12:30 pm
Location: Outdoor Pitch 3 & 4

Kids Cycling
Introducing a fun cycling skill for kids in Cooperation with Qatar Cycling Federation.
Time: 9 am – 1 pm
Location: Outside the Torch-Doha Hotel, under the shading

Mothers and Daughters Challenge
Taster sessions including gymnastics, fun sports, racket sports and aerobics.
Time: 9 am – 1:30 pm
Location: MS2 and Gymnastics Area

Dads and Lads Challenge
Taster sessions including gymnastics, fun sports, racket sports and aerobics.
Time: 9 am – 4 pm
Location: MS1 and Squash behind MSI

AZF Family’s Zone
Enjoying the activities of National Sports Day at Aspire Zone.
Time: 9 am – 5 pm

Location: Outdoor Pitch 10

Beach Volleyball
Six to eight teams will participate in the tournament, with Aspire giveaways provided at the end of the games
Time: 10 am – 10:30 am
Location: Sand Pitch

Fun Run
The Fun Run is organised by the Aspire Logistics Venues Department, and will be held at 9 am. Aspire giveaways to be distributed at the end of the race.
