IAID's 10th Winter Workshop is set to delight and engage participants starting 4 years and above with innovative courses that warms up the season and assures that everyone stays active, healthy and fit.
There is a wide selection of inventive and creative courses to choose from dance, music, arts and fitness along with winter workshop highlight from a guest veteran instructor.
The Dance department offers a wide and varied selection of high energy Hip Hop 101, Belly Dancing, Ballroom for Kids and a touch of culture with the Korean Fan Dancing. Dance enthusiasts will enjoy learning versatile dance moves and routines that will enhance body coordination and flexibility.
Following the London College of Music syllabus and integrating creative interpretations, the Music department spices up the winter season with Crescendo Acoustic Guitar, Magical Flute, Singing Ensemble and Musical Accompaniment through Keyboard and Piano. Aspiring young musicians will soon find that learning chords, notations, sight and rhythm reading, an easy task after all and playing familiar musical pieces will soon be a spontaneous activity.
Alongside, Visual and studio arts enthusiasts will get busy with colors and expressing their creativity through various artworks. For kids 4-6 years can dabble with Creative Color Painting while participants 7 years and above will enjoy the challenge of Aqua Art that features the mix of watercolor painting and poster colors. The workshop will soon have the participants creating artworks of their own.
Alongside, Step Aerobics is a good fitness course alternative that is perfect for the active child from age 7 years and above. Step Aerobics is a healthy and invigorating exercise that will have kids stomp, hop and stride to the rhythm while using the stepper. Kids will soon acquire flexibility with this exercise that totally refreshes.
Rounding up the whole Winter Workshop season are two special courses. Yoga for Kids 7 years and above will enhance flexibility, muscle strength and balance as they explore the basic yoga poses that is a healthy mind and body work out.
For parents with child from 1 month to 6 years, a specially designed course Young Musical Prodigies is sure to engage its participants with interesting exercises that enhance deeper interest in music and movement. In the process, participants will find their own voice and a more meaningful musical connection.
This special workshop will be conducted by a veteran music instructor Anouk Kloppert. A Dutch master’s degree holder in musicology, Anouk taught violin for 15 years. Having 2 young sons of her own Anouk discovers that there is a specific interest and need in helping children to express themselves from a very young age, and encouraging them to find their own voice and interests.
