Walk for a QAWS

Event Details:

Date:
Time:
On the 16th and 17th of March Matthew Taylor, Colin Estlick and Lucy the dog (and ex-QAWS resident) will be walking from west to east across Qatar to help raise funds for the Qatar Animal Welfare Society. They will be stopping half way to set up camp for the night for a well deserved rest and to re-energise. To show your support and love for animals please donate to or sponsor this worthy cause. Every Riyal helps!

Why walk for a QAWS? Lucy(originally named Mabel) was born 5th March 2011 along with 7 brothers and sisters to a beautiful Saluki named Melody. Matt and his wife Gemma went to QAWS to see if they could find a puppy suitable for their home and lifestyle. As soon as they saw Lucy they knew she was the puppy for them. Lucy, being the runt of the family was quiet and shy, huddled into the corner of her cage. 3 days later, on her 4 month birthday, Lucy arrived in her new home. Going from the quiet shy puppy they first meet she is now a bouncy, energetic, curious puppy that loves to play every minute of the day. Now Matt, along with his friend Colin want to raise funds to help the many other animals at QAWS waiting to be adopted so that they can find their forever home, just like Lucy did.
