Hamad bin Khalifa University (HBKU) and its partner universities will host the annual student recruitment event for high school students, ‘Discover Education City’ (DEC), on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The vent will be held at the HBKU Student Center within the Education City.

Open to all high school students across Qatar, along with their parents and school administrators, DEC draws thousands of visitors from across Qatar. The event gives the public an opportunity to learn about HBKU and its partner universities, including a look at the programs offered, out of classroom opportunities, and information about admissions and standardized testing.

Representatives from HBKU and its partner universities will be present to elaborate on the undergraduate academic programs at Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar (VCUQatar), Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar (WCMC-Q), Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ), Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMUQ), Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Qatar (SFS-Q), and Northwestern University in Qatar (NU-Q). DEC is the kickoff event for a wider calendar of programs hosted by HBKU Student Affairs throughout the academic year.
