Music and Pictures from James Bond and Harry Potter
Saturday, April 13, 2019, 7:30 pm
Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) Al Mayassa Theatre
Frank Strobel, conductor
Manfred Callsen, narrator

Following up the series of film music concerts curated in collaboration with the European FilmPhilharmonic Institute, this April we are excited to explore the very British musical universe of Harry Potter and James Bond. The Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra, featuring conductor Frank Strobel and vocalist, invites you with clips and stills and narration to hear scores composed by John Williams and John Barry, among others. Through Quidditch matches and breathtaking chases, this symphonic adventure will transport you through the headquarters of the MI6 and the Ministry of Witchcraft and Wizardry and will spark off the magic in Hogwarts and the sound of the most legendary of all secret agents.

There are no refunds or exchanges. Children 6 years of age and older may attend any concert with ticket purchase. Family concerts accept 3 years and older; this is a family concert. Audience members with inappropriately informal attire including shorts or beach wear will not be seated. Out of respect for the musicians and fellow audience members please silence your mobile phones and refrain from flash photography. Seating begins 20 minutes before performances. Latecomers cannot be seated during the concert. The Philharmonic retains the right to expel anyone disturbing other concertgoers. Food and beverages can be consumed in the lobby only. The Philharmonic accepts no personal liability of any sort. Programs and artists are subject to change.
