Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) has announced the line-up of shows, activities for the Eid Al-Adha 2015 Festival, which starts on the first day of Eid and continues for five days.
The Festival will offer a variety of daily family entertainment shows that will rotate between malls, from the traditional Ardha dance and the amazing balancing acts of the famed “Snoopy,” a finalist on Arabs Got Talent, to the amusing mini-stage show titled Mr. Dropsy and the Bell-Boy. Shows will rotate between Hyatt Plaza, City Centre Doha, Ezdan Mall, Lagoona Mall, Al Khor Mall, and Dar Al Salam Mall between 4.00pm and 10.00pm.
In addition to roaming circus parades, balloon benders and flying carpets, malls will be putting on exclusive shows such as Aladdin (City Centre), Bob the Builder (Dar Al Salam), Dora the Explorer (Ezdan Mall), Cinderella (Lagoona), Play ‘Doh (Hyatt Plaza) and Kids Circus (Al Khor Mall).
A special highlight this Eid will be the Frozen sing-a-long, where household names Elsa and Anna, accompanied by the snowman Olaf, will sing well-known tunes from the Disney movie along with crowds, young and old.
Further, actors Nasser Mohammed and Najwa Al Kubaisi will return to lead an ensemble of young actors including child musical superstar Hala Al Turk, in a show about the world of wrestling. The play, written by Teyseer Abdullah, directed by Saad Burshed and sponsored by Qatar Tourism Authority, will be performed on Qatar National Theatre.
Eid Al-Adha celebrations will extend to all parts of the country as tourism hotspots including Souq Waqif – were live music concerts will be held - Katara, Aspire Park, The Pearl-Qatar, Al Dosari Zoo and Game Reserve, and the Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Museum.
QTA will continue working with its partners at Hamad International Airport to share the spirit of Eid with visitors arriving in Qatar through “Eidiya” gifts and information pamphlets providing them with a guide to the Eid Al-Adha festivities.
