The Ministry of Municipality, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, announces the launch of a creative art competition within the "Zero Waste" campaign, under the supervision of the Arts and Theater Section of the Educational Guidance Department in the Educational Affairs Sector, based on Qatar Vision 2030, which aims to transform Qatar into an advanced country capable of achieving sustainable development and to ensure the continuation of a decent life for its people generation after generation.

The competition, which will run from January 22 to March 2, aims at the participation of public and private school students in the three academic stages: primary, preparatory, and secondary, to show their creativity in expressing its subject, through flexibility, originality, innovation, and creating an aware generation of the importance of waste by developing a methodology of thinking about its management.

Objectives:

• Students' creativity in expressing the topic through flexibility, originality, and innovation.
• Do not send any trash cans to landfills, incinerators, or the sea.
• Waste disposal through recycling and reuse.
• Restructuring production and distribution systems to reduce waste.
• Saving manufacturing costs due to reduced need to use raw materials.
• Resource restoration, and protection of scarce natural resources.
• Ending the disposal of toxic waste in landfills.
• Establish equitable social and environmental systems.
