Families continue to flock to the Hyatt Plaza’s Summer Chill Out festival to enjoy the various activities and promotions two weeks after it was launched.
Children’s favourite Spacetoon characters such as Fulla, the Ninja Turtles, Strawberry Shortcake and 15 other characters are in the mall, interacting with children and organising themed games for them with lots of prizes to be won.
A troupe of amazing Oriental acrobats has also been invited to perform throughout the day and dazzle visitors with their gravity-defying acts.
“It’s so hot outside, we’ve been looking for things to do together as a family,” said Shadi Gebara, who was visiting the mall with his wife and two children.
“Hyatt Plaza has done a fantastic job in organising the Summer Chill Out. My children are huge fans of Spacetoon, so they’ve had a great evening interacting with the characters. So has my wife, who has been taking advantage of the summer promotions,” he said.

“I played with my favourite Ninja turtles today. They are really nice and they taught me that I should be a good hero. They even gave me a gift for playing with them,” an excited young visitor said.

Plenty of people also came to take advantage of the shopping opportunities, among them was an avid shopper, Karen Howe, who said she was taking the advantage of promotion in most stores.

Prizes worth more than QR500,000 are up for grabs in the grand raffle draw, including 155 weekly shopping vouchers, cash prizes and premium Nokia E and N series mobile phones to be won every week.

Five grand cash prizes worth QR20,000 each will be announced at the end of the festival on August 16.

“At those demanding times, and as a family shopping mall that is responsible in the community, we are offering the people of Qatar unprecedented fun and activities,” Hyatt Plaza general manager Feroz Moideen pointed out.
Hyatt Plaza marketing manager Salman al-Rayess said: “Hyatt Plaza, the number one family shopping destination, started out with the idea of providing a fantastic family experience for the people who decided to spend summer in Qatar, and I think we’ve succeeded in doing exactly that and we’re absolutely thrilled with the strong response from the citizens of Doha.”
