Imperial Threads: Motifs and Artisans from Turkey, Iran and India

This exhibition will focus on the exchange of artistic and material cultures between the Ottoman, Safavid and Mughal Empires during the early modern period in Islamic art. Highlighting MIA’s masterpiece carpets, among other artworks from Turkey, Iran and India , these objects will illustrate the historical and artistic context of this time.
