ASPIRE4SPORT ANNOUNCES 2013 EDITION AS BUSINESSES SET SIGHTS ON REGION’S SPORTS SECTOR

Leading Regional and International Sports Industry Platform Prepares to Receive Over 3,000 Delegates in Qatar

DOHA – 17 July, 2013 – Aspire Zone Foundation today announced dates for ASPIRE4SPORT Congress and Exhibition, which will take place from 16 to 19 November of this year at Aspire Dome.

In its fourth year of sustained growth, ASPIRE4SPORT is the leading regional platform for businesses, sports entities, athletes and decision makers to discover the latest sports products, services, and technologies while discussing hot-button industry trends and topics.

Commenting on the event, Hamad Saif Buhindi, Executive Director of ASPIRE4SPORT said: “The sports industry in the Middle East continues to grow and provide opportunities to a vast number of businesses. In 2012 over 170 companies from 20 countries participated in the exhibition. Through the use of purpose built business to business meeting rooms, those companies held over 250 scheduled intimate discussions with key stakeholders from the region’s sports industries including the Qatar 2022 Supreme Committee, Qatar Olympic Committee, UAE Olympic Committee and Aspire Zone Foundation. In addition, the B2B online matchmaking forum witnessed great success that contributed to the overall growth of the sports industry in the region.

To facilitate B2B exchanges and business opportunities, this year’s ASPIRE4SPORT Exhibition will be broken down into five key sports industry segments: Aspire TECH, Aspire BUILD, Aspire LOGISTICS, Aspire ORG and Aspire MED

Organizers also announced two concurrent conferences in 2013: the Coliseum Summit, focusing on stadium design and architecture and the International Quality and Productivity Center (IQPC) Conference focusing on the infrastructure requirements of major sporting events like the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Increasingly, ASPIRE4SPORT is being used as a forum for launching new sports technologies, announcing tenders and signing agreements.

The world-renowned Aspire Dome will once again host what has been established as the region’s premiere sports industry event.

IFP Qatar, one of the Middle East’s most accomplished event organizers, has been contracted by the Aspire Zone Foundation for the ASPIRE4SPORT Congress & Exhibition for three years starting in 2013.
