Chocolate Jar, a coffee shop managed by the Hospitality Development Company (HDC) is a cozy place that serves delicious coffee, lip-smacking food, and has astonishing views of The Pearl-Qatar. It is a great place for people to hang out, enjoy the food and have some much-needed relaxation time with friends and family.
The ambiance and the vibe of the place instantly captivate you as you enter the coffee shop. The ILoveQatar.net (ILQ) team had the opportunity to dine at this beautiful venue, let’s dive into the different things that await you at the Chocolate Jar!

Are you a breakfast person? Then you must check out Chocolate Jar’s elaborate breakfast menu. We were served their hearty Chocolate Jar Breakfast that consisted of Baker's Basket (a fine selection of homemade croissants: zaatar, plain, chocolate and cheese, and slices of bread, jam and butter, and cinnamon roll), two sunny side up eggs, sausages, grilled tomato, mushrooms, hash browns, and baked beans.
This is served with your choice of fresh juice, coffee, or tea. The other delicious breakfast items that we tried included the Fluffy Pancakes, French Toast, and Fresh Fruit Granola. All of these tasted amazing!
Monster shakes are very popular and you can get your fill of these big, bold, and delicious creations at Chocolate Jar. Their shakes come in huge mason jars, and are topped with fun, colourful and exciting toppings like marshmallows, chocolate sticks, wafers, cake, popcorn, cherries and more! We tried Chocolate Jar’s Caramel and Peanut Butter, Red Velvet, and Chocolate flavours and they were amazingly delightful! These are hands-down some of the must-try items here and are totally Instagrammable!
At Chocolate Jar, innovative dishes that are carefully prepared by Chef Raed Alkhalili are always on the menu. The Three Cheese Jacket Potato which was stuffed with mixed cheese, jalapeños, and capsicums was bursting with flavour.
The Fried Arancini was made to perfection and tasted great with the marinara sauce that was served with it. The salads were fresh, flavourful, and led well into the main course. Our favourites were the Bocconcini Salad and the Beef Steak Salad – don’t miss trying these when you visit Chocolate Jar!
Moving on to the main course, we tried different options made by Chef Raed Alkhalili. First up, we tried the Chicken Focaccia with Fries - the chicken was juicy and when paired with the pesto, tomato & mozzarella, it was absolutely delicious. The Saffron Shrimp Risotto was creamy and the crunchy shrimp and parmesan cheese on top added more flavour to the dish.
We also tried the Panini De Buffalo Mozzarella where the bread was stuffed with buffalo mozzarella cheese and delicious pesto sauce. There’s more on the menu for you to try from but these are definitely our top picks!
We ended our dining at Chocolate Jar with a selection of their finest dessert offerings. We started with Sticky Date Pudding where the fresh dates molten cake was topped with sweet toffee sauce and vanilla ice cream – this tasted like heaven.
The other few of their must-tries are the decadent Crème Brûlée, the luscious Chocolate, and Lotus Crepes. We finished off this sweet journey with some delicate-tasting and yummy Beetroot Raspberry & Passion Fruit and Pistachio cookies.

We enjoyed an amazing High Tea in a relaxing seating at Chocolate Jar. The amazing views of Marina Bay, The Pearl-Qatar elevated the entire experience. We tucked in sandwiches, delicious canapes, and desserts with scrumptious fillings and this was served along with our choice of tea. Their High Tea is available daily from 12 pm to 5 pm and is designed for two at QR 190!
