Chef Shams Al Qassabi opened her own spice shop in 2004, becoming the first woman to run a business in Souq Waqif. Ensuring that guests have access to a unique cultural getaway, Chef Al Qassabi serves local traditional cuisine embedding a local essence into every corner. Shams participated in the first Qatar Family Exhibits in 2001 to promote her work and produced a cookbook, ‘The A to Z of Shoomos’ that gained massive recognition locally.
