A fake document has been circulating in social media, supposedly from the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (CAA Qatar) that states:

"It is prohibited to accept all passengers arriving from Egypt, Oman and Kuwait through intermediate points, including bearers of valid residence in the State of Qatar."

The CAA Qatar has tweeted that this document is fake and is being circulated just to create panic. The fake document is below and should not be recirculated on social media as the information in it is inaccurate and incorrect:

The correct and accurate document from CAA Qatar is given below.

In a statement released earlier today, the Government Communications Office said:

"As a public health measure, the State of Qatar has imposed a temporary entrance restriction to its territories on all those who are coming from Egypt through intermediate points. The measure is temporary due to the spread of COVID-19."

This measure has been taken to avoid an outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Qatar, as reported by QNA.

The following statement was also released by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority:
