The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs represented by the Labor Inspection Department carried out inspection campaigns during the past period on worksites and workers’ housing, to ensure that companies adhere to the decisions issued and the policy issued by the Ministry related to the precautionary measures that must be applied by companies to limit the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19).

In this context, the Ministry monitored (47) violating companies working in the field of construction in Lusail and the industrial zone, due to their failure to comply with the decision to reduce the number of workers who are transported by buses to half the capacity and not to take into account the necessary precautions and measures taken in leaving safe distances between workers during boarding or getting off the buses, and not adhering to wearing a mask. Therefore, all violating companies were referred to the competent authorities to take necessary action in this regard.

In turn, the Ministry stresses that all companies must adhere to the decisions and procedures in force in the country, in order not to address the legal issue, and the Ministry of Administrative Development calls on work and social affairs to companies and workers to adhere to the necessary precautionary measures to ensure the safety of all.
