In a tweet in H.H. the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani's official account, he stated that "Today we learned about the work of the Coronavirus Prevention Committee. Things are going well and the parties are doing their duty to the fullest. There will be additional measures to control the epidemic. Our plan aims to block the virus with the least confusion. It is a collective responsibility that requires the commitment and cooperation of all without exception and without delay."

This came during the presidency of His Highness the meeting of the Supreme Committee for Crisis Management to combat the emerging coronavirus, "COVID-19", to determine the efforts made by the competent authorities in the state to address this epidemic, as the authorities presented to his highness "the national executive plan to confront the emerging coronavirus COVID-19.

According to QNA, His Highness, The Amir directed the state’s officials to provide the necessary services to citizens and residents, foremost of which is providing security and protection for them from the Corona epidemic (Covid 19), to ensure the continuation of their normal life, during his presidency of the meeting of the Supreme Committee for Crisis Management for combating the virus.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Chairman of the Higher Committee for Crisis Management and members of the Committee, including their Excellencies, Ministers and senior officials concerned in the state.
