Starting 18 January 2022, children under the age of 12 will be allowed to enter the Doha International Book Fair daily from 4 pm to 9 pm, provided that they are accompanied by their parents, with the need to adhere to all COVID-19 precautions.

Check out our video to get an idea of what's going on at the Doha International Book Fair 2022. The slogan for this year's book fair is 'Knowledge is Light'. There is lots to see and even more to buy, especially if you're a bookworm, or want to get your kids into reading.

Precautionary measures & entry:

• Pre-registration will be required through an electronic link, where the registration code registered for the visit will be received via e-mail, and only fully vaccinated people or those who have recovered from Covid-9 within the last 12 months will be allowed in.
• The code that will be received is valid for the visit during the specified day.
• In line with health regulations imposed by authorities, only 2000 people (30%) of the venue’s capacity will be allowed to attend the book fair at any one time. (Doors will be closed if the total number is reached inside the exhibition hall)
• Entry and exit will be heavily monitored to avoid overcrowding and social distancing measures will be implemented at all times.
• The visit to the exhibition will be limited to vaccinated or those who have recovered from COVID-19 infections for a period not exceeding 12 months. This needs to be shown on the Ehteraz app.
• Children under the age of 12 that have not received vaccinations are not allowed to enter the exhibition.
