As per a report by The Peninsula, a unified tourist visa for the six Gulf Cooperation Council countries has been unanimously approved.
Residents of six Gulf countries and international tourists can travel with a single visa between Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain. This announcement was made by Jassim Mohammed Al Budaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council during the 40th GCC Interior Ministers meeting in Muscat, Oman.
Starting from 2024-2025, the new visa system is expected to be implemented across all nations. The Secretary-General praised this achievement, stating that it is a testament to the close cooperation and sound directives of the GCC leaders. In addition, the ministers have launched an electronic system that links traffic violations across all six countries.
