Over 600 athletes, schoolchildren, and inspirational individuals carried the flag across Qatar last year (2017)—a feat that unintentionally broke a world record. This year’s edition will be bigger and greater through more participants, longer distance, and an attempt to break multiple World Guinness Records including most people in cycling relay, and most people running in 100 meters in 1 hour relay outdoor. The record will be made by both public participants and athletes.

The Red Bull Curates Series takes creativity to new heights, with Dhow Art. Twenty-five of Qatar’s talented artists were invited by Curator Khalifa Al Obaidly to portray their inspirations. Only six have been selected by the curator and a jury to bring their creativities to life each on a life-sized dhow. As a significant element of Qatari culture, the dhows will become an untraditional canvas for the artists to paint, spray and decorate down to every detail!

Beat Cancer Boot Camp Qatar is a one day program designed to create awareness on the early detection and prevention of cancer. A variety of exercise activities such as cardio and strength workout, team building and other exercise styles will be conducted by a professional trainers in a fun and safe environment. Around one third of cancer deaths are due to the 5 leading behavioural and dietary risks: high body mass index, low fruit and vegetable intake, lack of physical activity, tobacco use, alcohol use.

The festival includes shops and nurseries marketing their flowers, seedlings and accessories related to flowers and ornamental plants. The event aims to introduce the public to local companies engaged in the field of floristry and gives them the opportunity to purchase flowers of all kinds and enjoy the exhibits at the festival. The 10-day festival opens its doors to the public from 9am to 10pm.
