Qatar's Nasser Al-Attiyah won the second stage of the Dakar Rally in Saudi Arabia on Monday.

After 315km, Al-Attiyah took the lead. He drove through the 457-kilometre stage in 4hr 03min 14sec to win the second stage.

Peterhansel who is a 13-time winner of the race leads in the overall standings with Sainz 6min 37sec behind and Al-Attiyah over nine minutes behind.
