Qatar's hammer-throwing champion Ashraf Amjad Al Saifi has qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which will be held in Tokyo from 23 July to 8 August, 2021.
Al Saifi advanced to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics after achieving the qualification points necessary to participate in the Olympics for the second time after Rio 2016, the Qatar Athletics Federation said in a statement.
The player is the fifth Qatari to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics with Mutaz Essa Barshim in the high jump, Musab Adam in the 1500-meter sprint, Abdul Rahman Samba in the 400-meter hurdles, and Abu Bakr Haider in the 800-meter sprint.
